How can I provide the MyoPro brace to my patients?
Clinicians can dispense the MyoPro after registering to become a Center of Excellence (COE) by completing an updated Myomo Account Application and completing the MyoPro COE Certification Program.

What is the MyoPro COE Certification Program?
The MyoPro COE Certification Program comprises 3 phases. The providing COs and CPOs will first complete a series of on-demand learning modules through Myomo Academy. Myomo’s Clinical training team will pair in-person training and support for the COEs first 3 candidate evaluations, and in-person training and support for the first 3 deliveries. The COE clinicians will complete a proficiency assessment to attain final certification. Reach out to a Myomo Business Account Manager to learn more at coe@myomo.com.

What is Myomo Academy?
Myomo Academy is Myomo’s on-demand learning system to complete prerequisite learning modules. You will complete a curriculum that introduces the MyoPro technology, reviews the candidacy and evaluation requirements, reviews the technical and clinical components of providing a MyoPro. Myomo is filing CEUs with ABC for eligible courses through Myomo Academy.

What is the MyoPro Evaluation and MARK2 Certification Phase?
Myomo’s Clinical Trainers will coordinate a training day at the COE’s clinic to conduct one-on-one training with the certifying clinicians in the morning and assist with evaluating 3 of your patient candidates in the afternoon. This format allows Myomo to provide individual training with your team, as well as assist with your existing pipeline of candidates. After this phase of training, certifying clinicians can request MARK2 Demo Units and Shape Capture Kits to continue their MyoPro evaluations with remote support as needed.

What is the MyoPro Fitting & Delivery Certification Phase?
Myomo’s Clinical Trainers will coordinate a training day at the COE’s clinic to conduct one-on-one training with the certifying clinicians in the morning and assist with your first MyoPro delivery in the afternoon. Although no formal training time is needed for future patients, Myomo Clinical trainers will provide in-person support for the COE’s second and third deliveries. A proficiency assessment will be completed after the 3rd delivery to fully certify the COE clinician. After this phase of training, certifying clinicians can evaluate, measure, fit, and deliver the MyoPro without clinical assistance from Myomo’s Clinical Trainers and are considered a Fully Certified Center of Excellence.

How long does a patient evaluation for the MyoPro take?
Approximately 1 and ½ hours for a full evaluation with a shape capture.

How long does a delivery appointment take?
Approximately 2-3 hours depending on patient needs and practice time with the patient and caregiver.

Will patients require therapy to learn how to use their MyoPro?
Yes. Attending therapy is a critical piece of the MyoPro learning process. It is extremely important to achieve good outcomes and help patients meet their goals. For more details, click here.

Will a COE clinician need to attend therapy?
It is strongly encouraged that the providing clinician attend the first therapy session and more as needed to establish themselves as the provider of record for the patient and their rehabilitation team. To encourage collaboration between the disciplines, Myomo’s internal therapists can virtually attend patient therapy sessions to assist in the therapy process, provided the dispensing CPO is in attendance.

How long does it take Myomo to train the therapist I find for my patient?
Myomo provides a 90-minute live or recorded webinar for the therapists treating your MyoPro patients. Our webinar training is scheduled multiple times weekly and available on demand. This training is required and critical in obtaining good clinical outcomes. Training includes an overview of the MyoPro technology and software and an in-depth review of the MyoPro therapy protocol.
